TBT- Down under

Hello the country Down under!!

In JuIy 2015 I went to Melbourne, Australia for 3 weeks to spend some quality time with my sister and her family. She lives there and it was so nice having the chance to explore the city with her! I’m very excited to share my travel guide right here!

Melbourne is the coastal capital of the south-eastern Australian state of Victoria. At the city’s centre is the interesting and modern Federation Square development, with bars and restaurants by the Yarra River.

If you are interested in art, than the Southbank area is perfect sport with the Melbourne Arts Precinct where is the site of Arts Centre Melbourne and the National Gallery of Victoria, with Australian and indigenous art.

Sport is also crucial to the fabric of this Australian town, taking on something of a religious nature here. Melburnians are very passionate about AFL football-‘footy’, cricket and horse racing-”cup”, grand-slam tennis-open and Formula One – car racing.

Transport through the city with tram or a bus is very handy and gives you the oportunity to see a lot in a short time.

Shopping just as I was expecting it to be! And the weather…hmm yes, four seasons in one day- TRUE! 🙂

Busy streets reminded me so much of being in Europe and I loved all of the friendly indoor/outdoor restaurants with kitchens from all over the world, cafes and bars.

Queen Victoria night market, best place to try food from all over the world, have fun with friends. It’s a must go 😉
China town
Delicious Churros
Cake heaven, Hopetoun Tea Rooms, for all cake lovers. One of my favourite place in Melbourne, be prepared to wait in long line to get a table.

I’m so ready to take another trip overseas!
